Title: CCBHC LCSW Clinical Director
Overview:
The Clinical Director will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of care in order to ensure the
appropriateness and effectiveness of outpatient services, identification of gaps in service delivery
system, representing the Agency at meetings, conferences and public forums, strategic planning and
implementation, development and implementation of processes and services that will improve the
service delivery system, program development – including productivity, outcomes, staff training and
development and staff supervision, compliance with contracts, agency policies and procedures,
regulatory requirements and audit readiness and new initiatives. The Clinical Director must be able to
communicate care and compassion to both staff and clients and demonstrate the ability to address
conflicts that arise with clients, family systems and the staff/clinic as a system and lead by example.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Supervision, Coaching, Mentoring, and Modeling to staff and student interns in the CCBHC.
- Maintain the quality and effectiveness of clinical services.
- Oversee direct staff and a range of administrative tasks related to clinical operations.
- Maintain OMH regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with the Director of Practice Operations and Clinic Programs to develop, implement, and maintain program operations.
- Responsible for continuous improvement related to clinical care and staff training.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians to provide adults with person-centered substance use treatment, rehabilitation, and mental health services.
- Create or identify training opportunities for clinicians to create an environment of continuous growth and development.
- Provides leadership and consultation to support quality clinical care including accessibility for day and after-hours crisis calls from clinics.
- Coordinate client care through close involvement with hospitals, substance use treatment facilities, probation, and parole, etc.
- Use evidence based individual and group treatments in the areas of substance abuse and mental health to address client needs (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, trauma -informed care) both in supervision and training of staff and in direct client care.
- Provide individual and group counseling and substance use treatment to clients; provide individual and group therapy.
- Complete psychosocial, substance abuse and other treatment related assessments in a timely and high-quality manner.
- Work collaboratively with clients, their families, and community partners to assist clients in achieving their treatment and recovery goals.
Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Valid NYS LCSW required.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of theories, principles, and techniques of individual and group counseling, substance use services and harm reduction.
- Multicultural, bilingual highly desired.
- A passion for the mission of a community based behavioral health clinic is essential. The Clinical Director must both understand and embrace the clinic culture. This enables the Clinical Director to move the team forward to accomplish goals that further the agency’s overall mission. The individual must also ensure high work quality while fulfilling the clinic’s mission to serve everyone.
